Jeff is a chartered accountant and holds an honours degree from the University of Waterloo where he specialized in accounting, business and economics. His primary focus is assisting owner-managers with their accounting, business and tax issues.

Jeff has been practicing with the firm since 1986 and has 30 years experience in consulting with companies on accounting, financing, sales and acquisitions, profit growth, marketing, business management, corporate structuring, business modeling and income taxes.

Jeff’s areas of industry practice include real estate development, real estate ownership, healthcare and professional services, investment companies, manufacturing companies and IT related companies.

Jeff also spent several years as the President of HLM Venture Partners Inc., a related company that assisted start-ups in strategy, business modeling, budgeting, projections, preparing business plans and obtaining financing. This included taking on part-time management positions and board positions.

Jeff provides business valuation and litigation support services to law firms, private companies as well as non-profit organizations and individuals. Services include rendering of conclusions on the value of businesses, intellectual property and economic damages. He has completed numerous valuation and expert reports for various purposes, including: share transactions, tax planning, corporate reorganizations, succession/exit planning, insurance coverage, commercial and shareholder disputes, matrimonial disputes, collaborative family law, breach of contract, securities law, financial reporting and transfer pricing.provides the business and accounting community with business valuation services.
